Friday: Third Week of Lent

Jesus said to them in reply,
“Do you think that because these Galileans
suffered in this way they were greater sinners
than all other Galileans?
By no means!"
Luke 13: 2

As we read of situations throughout the world, our hearts and our prayers reach out to all whose lives are physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually entombed.

We ask the Lord Jesus to give us, all Christian people, and all others of good will, the wisdom and the courage to help all rise above that which is ugly, that which lacks love, that which is contrary to God`s plan for God`s people.

In the love of Jesus,
Fr. Lenny Zamborsky

For Reflection:
When in your life have you seen one of God`s people suffering either physically, emotionally, relationally, or spiritually?

What can you do as an individual, to reach out to God`s people who are suffering in this world?

How can you promote God`s plan?

  1. We must renew ourselves by taking time away each day to soak in Gods Love, strength and wisdom in order to share those gifts with the people in our lives who are in need in so many ways.

  2. Today I see my daughter Cristina suffering a second relapse of her MS symptoms in a month. Most worrisome is a balance problem. She is having steroid infusions for an hour or two for three days and I'm wondering if the doc will try a different medication. Big decision because all the meds carry some pretty serious risks. She is so discouraged today. I love Fr. Lenny's words today, and the reflection questions, Beth, and your comment, Tina. Thanks.

  3. There is ALWAYS someone I know suffering in one or more of those ways. What I can do is be there for the suffering person through prayer, listening compassionately, and any other way I am able. Fr. Lenny did that so well for so many. He is greatly missed.

  4. On a global level, I can pray, try to understand the roots of the suffering (e.g.reasons, why Central Americans are entering USA illegally), and then advocate for suffering people however I can.
