Sunday: Third Week of Lent

I have witnessed the affliction of my people in Egypt
and have heard their cry of complaint against their slave drivers,
so I know well what they are suffering.
Therefore I have come down to rescue them
from the hands of the Egyptians
and lead them out of that land into a good and spacious land,
a land flowing with milk and honey.
Exodus 3: 7-8

Jesus who came as “good news for the poor” continues in many ways to raise us all from “rags to riches” insofar as we allow His Word, Sacraments, and other sources of grace to touch and transform our lives.

For Reflection:
Think about how you allow His Word, Sacraments, and other sources of grace to touch and transform your life. Are you always open to His Word and Sacraments? What other sources of grace do you use to touch and transform your life?

Now let`s take it a step further, using His Word, Sacraments, and other sources of grace; how can you help to touch and transform the lives of others?

  1. At some point I discovered that no amount of grace would transform my life until I learned how to use it to touch the lives of others. Once I began to see my own life prayer in terms of how it might benefit all others, I started to know what being happy actually looks like.

  2. Well put and so true. By transforming others lives thru spreading God's love, generosity, and goodness, you are transforming your life. You must first give to others to feel God's grace

  3. I believe God's grace is always there. I just need to slow down and quiet myself enough to see it, feel it and let it transform me.

    1. Where is there? God's grace is always where?

    2. I understand grace to be God's presence, God's relationship with me. God is always with me, but I need to respond if our relationship is to grow.

    3. There is "present". God is always present. "I Am".
